Shafaqna India: The Ayodhya administration has announced the closure of all poultry and meat shops in the district for the duration of the Navratri festival, from October 3 to October 11. The directive, issued by the Assistant Commissioner of the Food Safety and Drug Administration, aims to maintain the sanctity of the nine-day celebration.
The order specifies that “goat/chicken/fish/all meat shops will remain closed in Ayodhya district” during this period. Residents have been urged to report any violations, such as the sale or storage of meat products, by contacting the food safety department at 05278366607. Violators will face strict legal action under the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006.
