CBSE declares Class 12 results, pass percentage falls

Shafaqna India: The result of the Class-XII main examination 2025-2026 conducted by CBSE have been declared today. Girls have done better than boys by 6.73 per cent.

The pass percentage this year is 85.20 per cent.

The pass percentage has dropped by 3.19 per cent from last year.

The pass percentage of Ludhiana and Panchkula region is 87.92 per cent and 85.73 per cent respectively. With a pass percentage of 95.62 pert cent, Trivandrum region tops the chart, followed by Chennai and Bengaluru.

Of 1,768,968 students 1,507,109 students have passed the Class 12 examination. The pass percentage of girls is 88.86 per cent and boys 82.13 per cent.

However, there is a drop in the girls and boys passing percentage. Last year, 91.64 per cent was the pass percentage among girls and 85.70 per cent among boys.

Supplementary examinations will be conducted on July 15.

Candidates who have passed Class XII in 2026 and wish to improve their performance in one subject only can take up supplementary exams. Candidates who have appeared in Class XII in 2026 and placed in Compartment Category and those who have appeared in Class XII in 2025 and placed in Compartment Category will also be allowed to sit for the supplementary exams. As 3 opportunities are given to clear the Compartment, hence, this examination would be the last opportunity for these students.
