Delhi exit polls: BJP projected to break AAP’s streak with 40-plus seats

Shafaqna India: Several exit polls on Wednesday indicated a potential victory for the BJP over the ruling AAP in the Delhi Assembly elections, while the Congress was not projected to make any significant gains.

Two exit polls predicted an AAP win, while others showed a close contest with a slight advantage for the BJP.

The official results will be announced by the Election Commission after counting on February 8.

Among the exit polls favoring the BJP, People’s Pulse projected 51-60 seats for the NDA, 10-19 for AAP, and none for Congress. People’s Insight estimated 40-44 seats for the NDA, 25-29 for AAP, and 0-1 for Congress.

P-Marq forecasted 39-49 seats for the BJP, 21-31 for AAP, and 0-1 for Congress. JVC predicted 39-45 for BJP, 22-31 for AAP, and 0-2 for Congress. Poll Diary estimated 42-50 seats for the BJP, 18-25 for AAP, and up to 2 for Congress.

Chanakya Strategies exit poll showed BJP at 39-44, AAP at 25-28, and Congress at 2-3.

Two surveys favored AAP: Wee Preside predicted 46-52 seats for AAP, 18-23 for BJP, and 0-1 for Congress, while Mind Brink Media estimated 44-49 for AAP, 21-25 for BJP, and 0-1 for Congress.

Matrize projected a tight race with BJP at 35-40, AAP at 32-37, and Congress at 0-1. DV Research predicted 36-44 for BJP and 26-34 for AAP, with Congress failing to win a seat.

In the 70-member Delhi Assembly, 36 seats are needed for a majority. AAP currently holds 62 seats, BJP has eight, and Congress has none.
