Diplomacy is ‘war without blood’, says Lebanon’s president of Israel talks

Sshafaqna India: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has defended the decision to engage in negotiations with Israel, telling a delegation of deputies and mayors from the Jezzine district in southern Lebanon that diplomacy is “war without blood,” Al Jazeera reports.

In a post on X, Aoun said negotiations do not mean “concession or surrender, but rather solving problems” and called on the Lebanese to stand by their state at this critical juncture.

He said the priorities for any agreement remain clear: stopping Israeli aggression, an Israeli withdrawal and the return of prisoners.
