Shafaqna Technology: SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on social media platform X that the company plans to launch approximately five uncrewed Starships to Mars within the next two years. He stated that if these missions land safely, crewed missions could follow in four years, though any challenges could delay them by another two years.
Regardless of landing success, Musk emphasized that SpaceX will continue to increase the number of Starships heading to Mars with each available transfer opportunity. Earlier this month, he mentioned that the first Starships will launch when the next Earth-Mars transfer window opens in two years.
Musk’s ambition to make humanity a “multi-planetary” species, with Mars as a potential settlement, has been a long-standing goal. His recent comments indicate that SpaceX is pushing forward to make this vision a reality in the near future.
