Fresh Rains In Kashmir Valley; Met Says Weather To Improve From Wednesday Afternoon

Srinagar: With fresh rains in Kashmir and snowfall in upper regions metrological department has predicted rains would continue in Kashmir till Wednesday afternoon.

According to official of Met department weather would improve by Wednesday afternoon but it would be cloudy for the day.

Upper reaches in Gulmarg and Aparwat received fresh snowfall while as rains continued to lash plains and upper reaches across Valley from Monday evening.

From Monday evening (8: 30) up to Tuesday 5: 30 Srinagar received 26.0 ml rainfall, while as Qazigund and Pahalgam in south Kashmir received 63.4 and 31.8 rainfall since Monday evening respectively. Similarly in north Kashmir Gulmarg received 46.8 ml rainfall during this period.

Due to rains valley witnessed dip in the temperature to certain degree below to the normal, while as lanes, bylanes and roads in low lying areas of Srinagar and other districts were submerged due to the rain water.
