Shafaqna India: In response to the escalating tensions in West Asia, India on Wednesday urged all parties to exercise restraint and emphasized that the conflict should not expand into a broader regional crisis.
India’s remarks followed Iran’s launch of around 200 missiles at Israel, retaliating for the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and other militant leaders by Israeli forces.
New Delhi expressed its deep concern over the worsening security situation and stressed the importance of resolving issues through “dialogue and diplomacy.”
“We are deeply concerned about the security escalation in West Asia and once again call for restraint by all parties and the protection of civilians,” the Ministry of External Affairs stated.
“It is crucial that the conflict does not evolve into a wider regional issue, and we urge that all matters be addressed through dialogue and diplomacy,” the ministry added in its statement.
