Indian sponsored terrorism: Pakistan to present ‘irrefutable evidence’ to the P-5

by Abbas Adil

Pakistan’s foreign office is expected to hand over a dossier to the United Nations and P-5 in a day or so. On November 14, during a joint press conference with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Babar Iftikhar presented some of the dossier’s evidence purporting to show India’s involvement in attacks within Pakistan, including bank receipts showing funding and photos showing alleged perpetrators of attacks inside the Indian consulate in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.

The foreign minister explained that since 2001, Pakistan has faced more than 19,000 terrorist attacks on its soil and suffered 83,000 causalities. The direct economic losses have been upward of $126 billion. As a result of India’s sponsorship of terrorism, from across our borders, Pakistan continues to suffer immensely.

While talking about the role of India, the FP said that “t has also conducted false flag operations in occupied Kashmir and inside India to malign Pakistan. That facade has now been removed and the world can see the real face of India — one blackened by its decades-long state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and state-sponsored terrorism and destabilisation efforts in Pakistan”.

“We expect the international community to force India to end its terrorism & bring to justice those responsible for killing thousands of innocent people in Pakistan,” Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Twitter.

India rejects ‘irrefutable’ evidence
“This desperate attempt will find few takers as the international community is aware of Pakistan’s tactics,” India’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Srivastava said in a statement.

However, FO spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudri said that “fully exposed, India has typically resorted to sophistry, obfuscation and re-fabrication. Bland denials and regurgitation of an old litany of charges, however, will not change facts”.

Pakistan need to present the truth to the world
Political commentators, experts, and concerned citizens are mulling over an important question; why is Pakistan presenting a dossier of Indian activities in Pakistan to the world? Notably, Indian think tanks, intellectuals, and institutions developed an anti-Pakistan narrative in the US and we could not adequately counter them, said Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Security Division Dr. Moeed Yusuf in a talk-show Hard talk with Dr. Moeed Pirzada on 92 channel on October 15.

“We are not used to making our points clearly. We have never been able to counter the Indian narrative,” said Dr. Yusuf. “When I was in the US, I saw how Indian intellectuals presented Pakistan’s image; a country run by the military,” he added.

Experts believe that Pakistan is to witness economic growth in the future but only if Indian involvement is stopped at the earliest. The Indian regime under Modi seems to be on a project to cause heavy loss to Pakistan in terms of economy.

For the first time, Dr Moeed Yusuf, in his first interview with an Indian news outlet conducted by India’s renowned journalist Karan Thapar, also held India responsible for sponsoring the heinous Army Public School Peshawar attack in which over 100 innocent children lost their lives. He said Pakistan has a record of eight phone calls made from India to the TTP commander before the attack. He added that Indian intelligence handlers based in a neighboring country have directed attacks on the Chinese consulate in Karachi, Pearl Continental hotel in Gwadar, and the Pakistan Stock Exchange attack in the last two years. He also revealed how the Baloch Liberation Army terrorists were receiving treatment in a hospital in New Delhi.

Why is dossier important?
Political analysts, GVS spoke with, argue that two points are important to be considered, : a) the arrival of Joe Biden in the White House b) Modi has exposed Indian fault lines i.e. an ardent desire to institutionalize anti-Muslim Hindutva ideology.

Whenever there is a new President in the White House, the most powerful house in the world, attempts are made to seek attention and favors. India under Modi would be struggling to present its soft image because of a) Modi’s anti-Muslim legislation b) illegal annexation of Kashmir c) killing of students and lynching of the Muslims in India. Precisely, for America, today’s India is what Pakistan was 10 years ago, they argue. For the western world, a Hindu Taliban is in power in India who intends to impose his fascist ideology to transform India from a secular state to a Hindutva regime.

In this situation, Pakistan found an unprecedented opportunity to reverse the narrative; the intention of think tanks, scholars, and diplomatic community in Pakistan is to present India’s extremist/fascist face before the world and develop a narrative where Pakistan is projected as a victim, not an aggressor. The idea is very clear: an extremist Indian prime minister wants to target Pakistan through creating unrest and chaos. The main target, argues Pakistan, is the Chinese sponsored CPEC, a project, which is a lifeline and a game-changer for Pakistan and absolutely unacceptable to New Delhi. So, through state-sponsored terrorism, India intends to destabilize Pakistan, maintain political commentators.
