It’s one of the most popular social media apps around the world, but it appears that Instagram has crashed this afternoon.
According to DownDetector, the issues started at around 15:08 BST (10:08 AM EDT), and are affecting users around the world.
While the reason for the outage remains unclear, of those who reported problems, 60 per cent said they were having issues with the news-feed, 22 per cent couldn’t log-in and 16 per cent were struggling with the website.
Instagram is yet to comment on the outage, which appears to be the third it’s experienced in March alone.
MailOnline has contacted Instagram for comment.
Several frustrated users have taken to Twitter – which suffered its own outage on Monday – to discuss the issues this afternoon. One user in India posted a clip of them trying to load the Instagram app on their smartphone before it crashes and takes the user back to the homepage.
Another tweeted: ‘What the hell is going on with instagram it keeps stopping.’
Others posted a screenshot of a pop-up alert saying ‘Instagram keeps stopping’ and are given the option to close the app or send feedback.
Another user simply tweeted: ‘Another day, another bugs [sic], #instagramdown again!’
