Shafaqna India: Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster involved in 85 criminal cases across Punjab, Mumbai, and Canada, has been elected unanimously as the youth wing head of the All India Bishnoi Animal Protection Samaj. The election took place during a Bishnoi Samaj meeting in Abohar on Tuesday evening.
According to the appointment certificate issued by Bishnoi Samaj head Inderpal Bishnoi, Lawrence has been entrusted with the duty of protecting animals, aligning with the principles of the Bishnoi community. His uncle, Ramesh Bishnoi, shared a video message explaining that the community specifically requested Lawrence’s appointment.
The certificate states that as national head, Lawrence’s role will be to uphold the legacy of Amrita Devi and the 363 Bishnois who sacrificed their lives to protect Khejari trees in Rajasthan in the 18th century. Currently incarcerated in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail, Lawrence, 33, hails from Dutranwali village in Abohar.
He is a prime suspect in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and is linked to the killings of Mumbai realtor-politician Baba Siddique and Khalistan leader Hardeep Nijjar in Canada.
