New Delhi: Days after Centre in its notification backed LG Jung in AAP-Jung tussle, Kejriwal led government on Saturday decided to call a two-day special session of the Delhi assembly to discuss the centre’s notification.

The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday.

As per a government source “A special session has been called on May 26 and May 27 to discuss the centre’s notification which has taken away power from the Delhi assembly”.

The tussle between AAP government and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung started with the appointment of Shakuntala Gamlin as acting Chief Secretary.

Kejriwal on last Friday strongly opposed the appointment of Gamlin by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung.

Kejriwal has accused Gamlin of trying to favour two Reliance Infra-owned discoms through a Rs 11,000-crore loan and claimed the Modi government wants AAP dispensation to “fail”.

Arvind Kejriwal and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung also met President Pranab Mukherjee and blamed each other of violating the Constitution.
