Man injured as India, Pak armies exchange fresh shelling in Poonch

A 46-year old man was injured as armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday trade shelling along LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A police officer said that Pakistani army restored to firing with small arms in Krishna Ghati, Mankote, Balnoie and Mendhar areas along the LoC.
During the incident, some shells fired by Pakistani army landed in civilian areas at Balnoie and Nar Mankote areas, he said.
A civilian suffered injuries after a shell hit his residential house at Balnoie area while as few domestic animals also sustained splinter injuries at Nar Mankote area, he said.
The officer identified the injured civilian as Sheer Mohd son of Mohd Muneer.
Block Medical Officer (BMO) SDH Mendhar, Dr Parvaiz Khan said that the civilian was received by the hospital. The BMO said that man recievd splinter injuries in his head and is being operated upon.
The official said that the Indian army also responded strongly. (GNS)
