Modi Meets South Korean President On The Final Leg Of His 3 Nation Visit

On the last leg of his three-nation visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met South Korean President Park Geun-hye in Seoul.

Modi arrived in Seoul earlier in the day after a successful trip to China and Mongolia.

Agreements on Double Taxation Avoidance Convention, cooperation in shipping and logistics, audiovisual co-production, transport, highways and electric power development in new energy industries are expected to be signed between two countries during Modi’s visit.

Upon his arrival, Modi went to the Seoul National Cemetery and laid a wreath to honour the memory of the brave.

He also addressed the Indian community in Seoul. Around 1,500 people attended the reception.

The Prime Minister will also meet some of the heads of Korean companies that are willing to invest in India or have already invested in India.

He will visit the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in the backdrop of shipbuilding emerging as an important area of cooperation between the two countries.
