Shafaqna India: The long-standing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which had simmered for years, has escalated due to Israel’s continued strikes on Gaza. What was once anticipated has now become reality: a full-scale war between Hezbollah and Israel is unfolding.
In the past two weeks, violence between Hezbollah and Israel has surged dramatically. Israel’s Mossad has been targeting Hezbollah members, resulting in many deaths and injuries. On September 23, Israel launched its largest air assault in years, hitting over 1,300 targets across Lebanon, primarily in the south. Four days later, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other senior commanders were killed in a precision strike on Beirut.
Despite these attacks, Hezbollah has continued its missile fire. Israel’s air campaign alone may not resolve the conflict, as Hezbollah has been preparing for such a scenario for years, dispersing its rocket forces throughout Lebanon.
Israel has deployed elite forces to its northern border, signaling a serious intent to confront Hezbollah. However, victory remains elusive, as fully eradicating Hezbollah is unlikely due to its deep ties to Lebanese society. Military options, like creating a buffer zone, present high risks, potentially trapping Israel in a prolonged conflict with no clear solution.
