Shafaqna India: Qatar denies holding Iranian pilots in custody, saying they had violated the country’s airspace earlier this year and failed to respond to attempts to contact them, Reuters reports.
A Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson says on X that search and rescue teams found the remains of one of the pilots and that it had contacted Iran to coordinate a handover. He adds that Tehran has yet to respond to an invitation to review details of its operations.
