Rahul Gandhi Accuses PM Modi Of Fleeing Parliament To Lecture Students In Punjab

New Delhi: Congress President, Rahul Gandhi, today taking a Jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “it seems he fled to Lovely Professional University (LPU) to lecture students” instead of answering questions on the Rafale deal in Parliament.

Gandhi also urged the students to ask Modi the same four questions posed by him on Wednesday.

“So it seems our Prime Minister has fled Parliament and his own open book Rafale exam and is instead lecturing students at Lovely University in Punjab, today. I request the students there to, respectfully, ask him to please answer the four questions posed to him by me yesterday,” Gandhi tweeted.

The Congress chief’s remarks came after Modi went on a day-long visit to Punjab, where he will inaugurate the 106th edition of the Indian Science Congress (ISC) and address its inaugural session.

On Wednesday, Gandhi fired four questions to Modi and said: “The cost per aircraft was inflated from Rs 526 crore to Rs 1,600 crore. Was it Modi’s decision or Indian Air Force’s? If the decision was not of IAF, then did they not object to the inflated price — yes or no?

“Why was a private entity which never made an aircraft chosen and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd bypassed, and who took the decision not to manufacture the Rafale jets in India?”.
