Shafaqna English – The General Directorate of Education in the Riyadh region of Saudi Arabia decided to switch in-person classes to remote learning starting Thursday (18 DEc 2025) following reports of severe weather conditions and the possibility of snowfall ineveral areas.
According to Shafaqna, citing RT, Al-Qahtani Spokesperson for the Saudi National Center for Meteorology said: “Weather forecasts indicate the possibility of snowfall on Thursday in parts of the northern areas of Riyadh and Al-Qassim, after the highlands of the Tabuk and Hail regions experienced similar conditions on Wednesday. These areas are under the influence of a very cold air mass accompanied by atmospheric instability.”
