Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi on Friday defended watching Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 movie while the state is facing a flood-like situation.
In a statement, Sushil Modi said that he had been abused for watching the movie and that an English channel also mocked him for the same.
“I’ve been abused for watching movie ‘Super 30’. An English channel was also showing, ‘when state is flooded, Deputy CM is watching a film’,” Sushil Modi said.
He also said that more than one task could be done at one time, while referring to arrangements for the flood-affected people in the state.
“Several works can be done at one time, we’re helping flood-affected people and doing all the arrangements,” Sushil Modi said.
On Thursday, Sushil Modi was seen watching Super 30 in a movie theatre which generated a lot of flak against him on the internet.
Earlier this week, Super 30 was made tax-free in the state.
Further, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday announced that Super 30 has been declared tax-free in the state.
Super 30 is based on the life of educationist Anand Kumar who runs the Super 30 programme for IIT-JEE aspirants from poor families.
