Two militants died in a gunfight with government forces on Wednesday at a plant nursery in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, police said.
The gunfight erupted after the militants escaped into the nursery following a brief exchange of gunfire with troops of Rashtriya Rifles and SOG at Wandakhpora village.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Awantipora, Shridhar Patil said that they have recovered two bodies from the encounter site.
