Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen shot dead another man, a former militant, in north Kashmir town today taking the toll to four in last seven days.
According to police, Aijaz Ahmad Reshi, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside his residence in the Mundji locality of Sopore town.
This is fourth targeted killing in the past seven days.
Earlier on Sunday, unidentified gunmen killed Mairaj ul din Dar son of Mohammad Ahsan Dar, near his shop at Badami Bagh Sopore.
After shot twice, Dar was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
On Friday night another shopkeeper was shot dead by unidentified gunmen and Altaf ul Rahman, a Tehreek-e-Hurriyat member shot dead on Tuesday.
However the family members of Sopore shopkeeper who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Bomai Sopore on Friday night hold Indian agencies responsible for his killing.
