US Embassy Releases 250,000 Additional Visa Appointments for Indian Travelers

Shafaqna India: The US Embassy in India has made 250,000 more visa appointments available for Indian travelers, including tourists, skilled workers, and students, to meet rising demand and ensure timely interviews.

The Embassy highlighted that the additional slots will strengthen US-India ties. The US Mission has processed over one million non-immigrant visa applications for the second year in a row, with a record number of student visas issued this summer.

Over 1.2 million Indians have visited the US in 2024, a 35% increase from 2023, and six million Indians currently hold non-immigrant visas. US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti praised the efforts to expedite the visa process, fulfilling the goals set by Prime Minister Modi and President Biden.
