Qods day in Aligarh Muslim University

The students of Aligarh Muslim University marked Youm al Qods by marching in solidarity with the oppressed and raising slogans against the oppressors. The International day of Qods is marked every year throughout the globe to support the oppressed people with an specific emphasis on the liberty of Masjid al Aqsa and the people of Palestine. The great leader of Islamic revolution, Grand Ayatullah Imam Khomeini called upon the whole world to mark last friday of the month of Ramadan as Quds day to support the oppressed people of the world.

The Students marched from the University mosque to the University circle after the friday prayers raising slogans against Israel, Daesh(ISIS), America and the other terrorist groups. Imam e Juma Maulana Zahid Rizvi said speaking about the Israeli war crimes that Israel is the present army of Yazid which has blocked drinking water for fasting Palestinians during this holy month of Ramadan, leaving them without the access to clean drinking water. A former leader of AMU students Union Mr Mazin Husain Zaidi urged the gathering to speak out against terrorism and oppression of all kind. He also appealed to take good care of orphans, poor and less privileged sections of the society in this month of Ramadan. The students also presented a memorandum to the district administration addressed to the Prime Minister of India in which an appeal was made to intervene in the situation of middle eastern countries and help the oppressed people. The PM was also requested to deal strictly with the culprits trying to disturb communal peace and harmony in the country. The chants of “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Atankwad (Terrorism) Murdabad” echoed in the campus.
