GRAP Stage-III Restrictions Reimposed in Delhi-NCR Amid Worsening Air Quality

Shafaqna India: The Centre’s air quality panel invoked Stage-III measures of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) on Monday following a sharp decline in Delhi-NCR’s air quality due to adverse weather conditions.

Delhi’s AQI reached 367 at 2 PM, categorized as “very poor.” Poor air conditions, driven by calm winds and low mixing heights, are common in the region during winter months.

In its order, the panel stated, “Considering the highly unfavourable meteorological conditions, the sub-committee on GRAP has decided to impose Stage-III restrictions across NCR with immediate effect.”

As per the revised GRAP schedule, schools in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Budh Nagar must shift classes up to Class V to hybrid mode. Students and parents may opt for online education wherever available.
